Liberty Savings Bank was proud to be a sponsor of the 2013 MidTown Manatee Mix N’ Mingle. The Mix N’ Mingle brings together businesses and residents from outside the MidTown Manatee area to show off the great businesses available in MidTown Manatee.
Lauren A Fuller, Financial Center Manager II from the Bayshore Gardens office, organized Liberty Savings Bank sponsorship of the event. Liberty Savings Bank shopping bags were handed out to all the attendees as they entered. Lauren was assisted by Tamara Luna, Financial Center Manager II from the Wildewood Office, Patti Shirley, Regional Sales Manager, Brian Arledge, Regional Commercial Lending Manager, and Beth Fonseca, Financial Center Supervisor from the Bayshore Gardens office. Also there to help out was Matt Kluding, Liberty Savings Bank President.
The 2nd Annual MidTown Manatee Mix N’ Mingle was a great success at promoting growth of the MidTown area. Businesses and the public all enjoyed great food and entertainment while getting to know all the opportunities the MidTown area has to offer. Liberty Savings Bank was proud to help sponsor the event and looks forward to many more to come.
Liberty Savings Bank was proud to help sponsor Laurel Nokomis School’s "Running Wild" Run-A-Thon event on Friday, February 22nd. Laurel Nokomis School has been a Golden School Award winner for the past 24 years and is ranked in the top 10 percent of all elementary and middle combinations schools in the State of Florida. Sandy Perrine, Financial Center Manager II of the Jacaranda Office, was there to deliver Liberty Savings Bank Piggy Bank key chains and to help count all the money raised.
Sandy said, "The day was beautiful and it was great to see all the parents supporting their kids." Liberty Savings Bank was pleased to provide prizes to every child that raised $5.00 for the event. The children who were able to raise $100.00 were invited to an Ice Cream Sundae Party, which they loved!
The event was a rousing success that raised nearly $18,000.00 for the school thanks to the many donors and volunteers!
On Saturday, February 9, Liberty Savings Bank was the official bank for Cat Depot’s Forget Me Not Gala fundraiser at the Laurel Oak Country Club. Cat Depot is a non-profit organization that has provided shelter, rehabilitation and adoption services for cats in Sarasota County for 10 years.
For the past three years Liberty Savings Bank has provided a team of volunteers to support this local charity. Danielle Bachar and Karen Kurtzweil from the Square South Office and District Manager Barbara Cain volunteered this year. They were assisted by Danielle’s husband, Dr. Craig Bachar. From 6 PM until 11 PM our volunteers collected donations, sold raffle tickets and processed payments for winners of the silent and live auctions.
Thanks to the many donors, auction winners, and volunteers this years Forget Me Not Gala was able to raise $100,000 to help fund Cat Depot’s continuing mission.
On Saturday, January 12, Liberty Savings Bank employees took part in the 2013 Suncoast Lifestyle Expo held at the Convention Center in Sarasota, Florida. This year's attendance was record-breaking and gave Liberty employees plenty of opportunity to meet individuals and to share information about Liberty's products and services.
Lauren Fuller, Financial Center Manager II at Bayshore Gardens, and Patti Shirley (Vice President - Region Manager, pulled out all the stops to make sure the Liberty booth shined with red, white and blue banners; logo items; promotional displays; and a grand prize drawing that had everyone entering to win! Also in attendance was Richard Hajjar, Financial Center Manager II at Stickney Point, who worked the crowd later in the afternoon to close.
Matt Kluding, President of Liberty Savings Bank, states "Liberty Savings Bank was the only bank that was represented at the Expo. I am very pleased with this event, the employees who assisted, and the opportunities we had to talk with potential clients and share what Liberty has to offer."
